With record-breaking entry numbers for the Influencer Marketing Awards, this year’s judges will have a hard task whittling down the entries to determine the winners of the 28 awards up for grabs. It will be down to the judges to shortlist the best campaigns across the globe, which will all be revealed on the awards night on March 25.
We are pleased to introduce the first wave of judges for the 2020 Influencer Marketing Awards ahead of the shortlist announcement on 29 January. The newly formed judging panel consists of experienced influencer marketing experts from around the globe. Meet the first wave of judges who we are pleased to welcome back for 2020.
Randall Chinchilla, Global VP influencer marketing, Coty Inc.
With an impressive career spanning a number of FMCG companies where he has led brand building, influencer and earned media strategies for iconic brands including Wella Professionals, Pantene, and Head & Shoulders, Randall has held positions at Global HQ, Regional and Local market levels, and across multiple geographies.
As VP of influencer marketing and corporate affairs at Coty Inc., Chinchilla leads the global earned media strategy for Coty’s beauty division and oversees external communications, making him an excellent choice for making those all-important decisions at judging stage.
“I believe in cultivating communities of advocates and strategically activating them as brand influencers and content creators. I’m looking forward to seeing disruptive thinking in this area. I’m also a big fan of using analytics to garner insights to help optimise programs real-time and track results so I’ll also be looking for best practices here,” commented Chinchilla.
Scott Guthrie, influencer marketing consultant
We couldn’t be happier that Guthrie is back judging again this year. As an independent influencer marketing consultant, conference speaker, guest university lecturer, active blogger, and media commentator, Guthrie has proven himself an expert in the space and has a truly holistic view of the industry, which is perfect when it comes to judging a range of creative industry campaigns.
“As our nascent industry matures and professionalises it’s right that we celebrate best-in-class campaigns that showcase the possibilities of influencer marketing and that nudge our industry forward. I’m honoured to be part of the IMA judging panel again. I’m looking forward to seeing entries that marry data with creativity,” said Guthrie.
Raakhi Shah, head of ambassador, influencer and leadership relations, Unicef UK
Shah’s work spans 15 years and includes overseeing the involvement of high profile ambassadors across sports, music TV, entertainment, politics, digital and corporate to fundraise, advocate and communicate for global charities, so is perfectly aligned to cast her eyes over the entries submitted this year. She is part of the team for the annual charity event Soccer Aid, which raises millions in aid of Unicef UK – her work in helping influential stars promote important messages globally is vital to the industry.
