Oslo-based influencer marketing platform, inzpire.me, has confirmed it has raised €1.2 million in a round led by Schibsted Media Group. This round brings the company’s total funding-to-date to €2.2 million. SNÖ Ventures, Thomas Falck (Chairman of Investinor), and Martin Ingemansson (Managing Director at Facebook Nordics) also participated in this round.

Founded in 2016, by Mats Lyngstad and Marie Mostad, the growing startup, which employs a team of 22 talented people from 11 countries, now has a presence in over 100 countries. To date, over 12,000 pieces of quality content have been created with the help of inzpire.me.

With credibility and the development of exceptional content at its core, inzpire.me is focused on building a one-stop-shop platform that makes life easier for the entire digital marketing ecosystem, from brands and media agencies to influencers and talent agencies.

As well as using the financing for continued product development, the company has further plans for growth in existing Nordic markets as well as expansion into new markets.

The platform is being used by a vast group of around 10,000 content creators and more than 3,000 brands, including larger corporations, such as L’Oréal and Universal Music Group, to NGOs, Unicef and Greenpeace, as well as smaller businesses.

“This is an exciting time for inzpire.me and we are delighted to welcome such high calibre investors on board. The continued development of our platform is hugely important to us, allowing us to invest in our platform and utilise data and smart technology to develop additional tools that will save our users time and money, while also helping to improve their results. We look forward to further expansion in international markets and currently have our sights set on the UK and Germany, amongst others,”said Marie Mostad, Co-founder and COO of inzpire.me.

Kajsa Gatenbeck, investment manager at Schibsted Media Group is also joining inzpire.me’s board as part of the acquisition.

“Brands are increasingly beginning to understand the value of collaborating with influencers. However, finding and working with the right influencers is not necessarily simple, particularly as the number of stakeholders involved in the process grows,” she said.

“The inzpire.me team have managed to build a data-driven platform that not only facilitates communication between creators and brands but also makes the process more efficient for the entire influencer marketing industry, ensuring all parties get the most out of every campaign. Ever since the first meeting with the team, we’ve been impressed by their passion for the product and their clarity of vision, and we are truly excited to support their journey going forward.”
